Fadhil is a former General Secretary of the LSE Students’ Union. He holds a Masters in Social Policy and Development, and Bachelors in International Relations from the London School of Economics. Driven by passion, he continues to work with youth to encourage positive and active participation and is an ardent supporter of volunteerism and innovation for development. Fadhil is a Muslim by faith, was educated at the prime Buddhist education institution in Sri Lanka, Ananda College, and speaks English, Sinhala and Tamil. He was previously the Communications Team Lead at the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office and UNDP in Sri Lanka. Currently, he is the Partnerships, Innovation and Youth Focal Point at UNDP Sri Lanka and Lab Lead a.i. of Sri Lanka’s first Social Innovation Lab, Citra.
